Eliza's Baptism weekend

We had a very awesome and busy weekend with the family. Barton and I had a date night Friday and went to see some tennis at the Family Circle Cup. Unfortunately the Atlanta player lost, but we had a great time. Saturday we all went the the USS Yorktown and watched the Blue Angels. That was quite a show! Eliza had a long day, but did awesome and didn't fuss once. She is one happy little girl! Sunday was her Baptism and she was the cutest thing in her dress. She wore the same dress that my sister, brother and I wore as well as my niece Madison. My mom actually made the dress herself so it was really special and quite beautiful. Eliza did great and I was so worried she would cry, but no tears were shed. I think she loved having all the attention on her! It was really special and I am really glad we chose the church we did. Long busy weekend and we are exhausted, but we had such a good time and I was glad to have some good family time! Eliza has also started standing up without pulling up on something and standing without holding onto anything so I think we are getting closer to walking! Ahhh!

Spring is here!

Finally we can play outside! I still haven't put Eliza's butterfly pool together yet, but I bought a water activity table that Eliza loves, going on walks everyday and playing on the playground. Eliza hates the mulch and sand at the playground so I am trying to get her used to it. She lives at the beach so she better start to like it! Next weekend will be her first beach adventure and I am looking forward to it! This weekend is Eliza's baptism and I can't wait. It will be a very special day for her and our family.

Eliza's first Easter!

We had a great Easter with our little girl! On Saturday Daniel Island had an Easter Egg hunt and performances, food, beer, etc... Eliza got a picture with the Easter bunny and a duck who she found hilarious. On Sunday we went to the children and family church service and that was definitely hilarious! Lets just say that it was not quiet at all! There was constant talking from the children and the occasional sush from the parents. Not your typical service. After church Bartons parents came over for lunch. I made a beef tenderloin that was so tasty! I actually got to use my china and silver for the first time! Eliza enjoyed her Easter presents too. Good weekend!

March 2010

What a great month March was! Eliza turned 10 months and Barton turned 36!!! Old man! It has finally warmed up in Charleston and we have been enjoying getting outside for walks and playing at the playground. Next up the Beach! Our patio is finally done and it looks great and we can't wait to enjoy it this spring and summer! Eliza is really growing up and is all about figuring out how things work, getting into everything and really enjoying walking with her lion. I wonder how much longer until she walks! Ahh!
